Hi Ladies,
We had our final ladies night of the season on Monday, September 14. We played a 2 person scramble and there were hole games on each hole on the back nine. Prizes were supplied by anonymous donors who recycled their new items either it was balls or prizes. The weather was cool and a little threatening but as I promised the night straightened out and although it was a bit cool it was another great night for us. It was a little on the dark side by the time my group got in but we made it ....I am sure you were wondering what happened to us. I enjoyed golfing with Helen Manners (my partner), Hazel McCormick and Marlene Hvidston all of whom I rarely golf with. I enjoyed that very much.
Year end reports and elections were held. Thank you to those who came forward and offered assistance for next year and let their names stand for the executive positions. The Ladies executive for 2010 - Robin Acton agreed to let her name stand for another term, Jo-Anne Schiller will now take the Vice President's position. Judy Boxall will be stepping down. Thanks Judy for your work on the executive in the past few years. We hope you will stay on the Tournament Committee. Wendy Stark will remain as Treasurer. Somehow I got roped into the Secretary's position. Lastly, a variety of ladies have come forth and offered to organize Ladies Nights for a one month period. Liz Hawrylak and Celia Armstrong will take MAY; Jennifer Jory and Brenda Turcotte will take JUNE; Heather Blythe and Sherry Crossman will take JULY; Laurie Hnatuk and someone to be determined will take AUGUST; Kyle Mulligan agreed to take SEPTEMBER. Thanks for coming out ladies and making Ladies Night very successful this year. HAVE A WONDERFUL WINTER. I look forward to seeing you all next year with bells on or golf balls on my sandals. :-).
Congratulations once again to Jo-Anne Schiller who captured the Saskatchewan Senior Ladies Championship this past July in Yorkton, Sask. and went represented our Golf Club and Saskatchewan Golf Association at the National Championships in Nova Scotia in late August. Way to go Jo!! This is the 2nd year that Jo-Anne has made the Saskatchewan Team.
Congratulations to Hazel McCormick for her Hole-in-one which happened last season and somehow we missed it. She had it on June 6, 2008 on Hole #6 at the Lloydminster Golf and Country Club. She will receive her pin soon and be added to Golf Sask Hole-in-on club.
Quick Year End Report - We had 20 Ladies nights with 18 sponsors this year. We only had one rain out and that sponsor rescheduled so all in all we had a great year. I would like to, once again, thank all of our generous sponsors listed below. We hope you will all join us again for the 2010 Edition Ladies Night. I have just learned recently that Century 21 will join our list sponsors for 2010 Ladies Nights. Thanks to Keith Weinbender for offering this sponsorship.
