About What is Happening Right Now
From H. Dale Wookey, Promotions Director
It's getting closer to the opening of the new golf season. The Marketing Committee is continuing to work on the fundraising plans for the Golf Course. We are in the process of finalizing the Kiwanis - Holiday Inn Million Dollar Hole-in-One Tournament.
The new website is presently under construction and should be ready by the end of the month; if not sooner. I have received a wealth of information and pictures from Rusty Russell; but I am looking for more information about our golf course history. If you have any pictures of the golf course, golf events, golf championships, candid photos of your group, etc. I would love to include them. I am especially interested in any pictures of Peter Cushner.
Please contact me @ 780.870.1564 or hddoubleu@shaw.ca.
From Kyle Mulligan, Head Professional
February is well under way, and that means we are less the 2 months away from opening the doors to the Golf Season. As I look out my office window I see nothing but white snow falling, but with that being said we are starting to get many requests for Tournaments, and Corporate Events at the Course. If your business would like to host, or plan an event at the LGCC next summer, please make sure to contact me as soon as possible as we are taking those bookings now.
Some new and exciting things are going to be happening in the next couple months, so make sure you keep viewing this great newsletter, and make sure you are informed and ready to participate in some great events that are going to be available to the Lloydminster, and surrounding area.
If anyone has any questions, comments, wants to book an event, or pick up a Membership, please feel free to email me at kylemulligan@sasktel.net, and I will make sure to give you any and all information I can.

Men's Club Update
The Men's Club Executive had their first meeting of 2010. Present were Randy Aston, Chuck Denis, John Higgins, Terry Hynes, Dwayne Keichinger, Roy Noble, Richard Starke and Cliff Torry.
A ball sponsor was selected and arrangements were made to contact our sponsors for 2010. Although we are a separate committee, we will work with the Golf Executive and the Advertising/Marketing Committee to raise funds that benefit the Lloydminster Golf Course which, in turn, will benefit the members and players.
In addition to working with these other committees, the Men's Club is going to be working with the Golf Executive and our head pro, Kyle Mulligan to, once again, organize and host the Men's Open golf tournament. As 2010 moves along and our meetings become more frequent, tasks are being assigned and completed, we are starting to see a little bit of sunshine at the end of our cold winter's tunnel. Hang in there, only a few more months to go.
