Membership Fee Reduction Approved by the Board

As many of you know, especially those who have attended our Annual Meetings over the years, financing our golf course is a challenge.  For several years we have been unable to fund needed capital projects.  In an attempt to generate more revenue, the board increased the value of our memberships and green fees two years ago.  Combined with a downturn in the economy and cold spring weather this strategy has not yielded the results for which the board had hoped and we are now facing more serious financial challenges. 

We are working hard to develop new strategies and initiatives to overcome these difficulties.  However, to be successful we will need the assistance of not only the golf community, but, in fact, the whole community which benefits from having an attractive, high quality golf course in our community.  In our December newsletter the Marketing Committee outlined many of our plans for the coming season.

At our December board meeting our latest strategy, a new membership fee structure was adopted.  You will note that there has been a significant decrease in membership fees.  This strategy will only be successful if people buy memberships.  For those of you who have not purchased a membership for the last few seasons, we want you back and sincerely hope that our rate reduction will entice you to return.  To everyone, please seriously consider purchasing a membership this coming season not only to ensure you have maximum access to our great golf course but as a gesture of support for the future of our course and the initiatives undertaken by the board.   Below is our new fee structure:

Regular Membership	$1095.00
Regular Couples Membership	$1860.00
Senior Membership	$930.00
Senior Couples Membership	$1580.00
Limited Membership (Mon-Fri)	Discontinued
Junior – under 11 years	$195.00
Junior – 12 to 18 years	$295.00
Student – under 23 years	$495.00
Half year membership	$545.00
*First time/returning member	$795.00 *This membership is available to anyone who has never purchased a membership or hasn’t purchased a membership anytime in the past five seasons (2005 to 2009 inclusive)

For those of you who have already purchased a membership for the 2010 season at our promotional rates, we will gladly refund you the difference between the promotional rate and our 2010 rates.  If you do not wish to receive a refund, we can apply your refund towards the cost of club storage, cart rentals or a driving range membership.  Alternatively, you can exchange your refund for a Pro-shop gift certificate worth an additional 15% over the value of your refund.  Please advise our pro, Kyle Mulligan, how you would like your refund handled by e-mailing him at kylemulligan@sasktel.net or by connecting with Kyle by telephone at
